Our most recent clinic was Wendy Waldman Thursday, October 6th 2005.What a great lady! She played excerpts from some of her many songs, entertained us with stories from her years in the business, and encouraged us that we too are a part of the songwriting process, and should continue writing and performing. About 100 people enjoyed and entertaining and informative evening with Steven King. This awsome player played for two hours with only a short break to rest the fingers. Starting with his own version of "Name that Tune" and finishing with a request set, Steven kept everyone mesmerized the whole time. He even included pointers on how to play his unique style. Terry Bozzio clinic at Sioux Falls Music!

The Terry Bozzio clinic was a huge success! Thanks to Al, Terry, Brian (Terry's drum tech...you wouldn't believe how fast he set up Terry's kit) and all of you that attended. See some pics here.

Everyone had a great time. There were couples, families, church music groups, drummers and even one guitar player thay we know of playing percussion. Kalani is a great teacher. Everyone had a drum to play and there were no rules! It sounds like it would be a real train wreck, but Kalani brought the whole group together playing complimentary rhythms. If anyone out there missed the Steve Smith clinic April 15th, 2003...shame on you! This was the largest clinic we have ever had at Sioux Falls Music, with almost 300 people in attendance. Steve played for two solid hours, alternating between a full sized set and Sonor's Jungle set, and demonstrating technique using a snare drum. This was almost like a private lesson with the master! Steve is a real down to earth person. I can see why he is in demand for sessions. You'll never meet a person easier to get along with.
